Double Bear Paw

This class will help you piece the Double Bear Paw quilt by Material Girlfriends with all the tips and tricks Chrystal used to make her quilt.  In two sessions she will walk you through how to piece and assemble the blocks that make this striking quilt top! Each student can choose to make the quilt in one of four sizes - baby, throw, queen or king.

The class will run on consecutive Monday evenings (July 24th & 31st) from 5:30 - 8:30 with homework in between sessions.  

Please note: This class will take you through the piecing of your quilt top - not the quilting or binding process.  

Class fee includes the pattern.  Many of Chrystal's recommended supplies will be available at Stashworthy for you to purchase. 

We recommend this class for confident beginner quilters.  You must be able to confidently set up and use your sewing machine.

Supply List:

Fabric for desired size finished project
Sewing Machine with .25-inch foot and quilting or Universal needles size 80/12
50 Weight thread (and filled bobbins) to blend with your fabric
Rotary cutter with extra blades
24-inch x 6-inch clear quilting ruler
2.5-inch x 8-inch clear quilting ruler
24 inch Cutting Mat
Piecing Iron and small ironing mat or table
Fabric marking pens (iron off - Frixion, etc.)
Sandwich bags and scrap paper
Scissors or snips
Seam Ripper

Rotating cutting mat

Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 7 days prior to the class start date in order to be issued a full refund. Cancellations made 2 - 6 days before the class start date will be issued a store credit.  Students who cancel with less than two days notice and those who do not show up to class forfeit their class fee and no store credit will be issued.  If Stashworthy Fabric needs to cancel a class due to weather, illness, etc., we will reschedule as soon as possible.  If the new dates won't work for your schedule, we will refund your class fee or issue a store credit.
